Integrations

See which projects you sold and which are still open, read from your CompanyCam proposals.

Paste a read only CompanyCam access token on the Integrations tab and TruLata reads your projects and their proposals onto the Jobs tab: accepted proposals are sold work, declined ones are lost, and the rest is your open pipeline with its price. Your photos, checklists and proposals stay in CompanyCam.

What will I see from CompanyCam?

Your projects, each with the money from its proposals. From each project TruLata reads its name, its status, whether it is archived, the day it was created and its primary contact. From each proposal it reads the project it belongs to, its status, its total price and when it was accepted or declined.

The Jobs tab puts four tiles across the top: open jobs with their open value, booked value over the last 12 months, jobs won this month and your win rate. Under them sit the stage counts and the list itself, which you filter by outcome or search by project or customer name.

How does a project count as won, lost or open?

By its proposals. A project with an accepted proposal is won, and its value is the total of its accepted proposals. A project whose every proposal was declined is lost. Any other project is open, and its value is the largest proposal still out, so a project quoted twice is not counted at twice the price.

A project with no proposal yet is open with no value, shown as unknown rather than zero, and a draft proposal with no price adds nothing. Each read takes your newest 1,000 projects and 500 proposals; an account with more says it shows the newest records.

How do I connect CompanyCam?

In CompanyCam, open Integrations, then Access Tokens, and make a New Personal Access Token set to Read only. An Admin or a Manager in CompanyCam can make one. Paste it into the CompanyCam card on the TruLata Integrations tab and press Connect. The account owner or an admin of your TruLata account makes the connection.

TruLata reads your company name and your project count with the token before it is saved, so a token that cannot read is turned away with the reason and never stored. The card then names the company it reached and how many projects it found. The token is stored encrypted and never sent to a browser, yours included.

Can TruLata change anything in CompanyCam?

No. The token you make is read only, and TruLata reads three things with it: your company, your projects and your proposals. It does not read your photos, notes or checklists, and a new project, a proposal edit or a photo is made in CompanyCam itself, by your crew.

Press Disconnect on the CompanyCam card and TruLata deletes the token it holds. To end the token on CompanyCam's side as well, delete it under Integrations, Access Tokens in CompanyCam.

How fresh is the Jobs tab?

Live. The Jobs tab reads CompanyCam when you open it. A short cache of about 90 seconds only absorbs a double click or a question to Ask TruLata asked at the same moment, so a proposal a customer accepts this morning is on the tab the next time anyone opens it.

A source that fails says so. If CompanyCam does not answer, its card says Could not read, and it is never counted as zero. Records named test are left out before anything is counted. The live data page sets out the freshness of every other source on the screen.

Why put CompanyCam projects on a marketing dashboard?

Because the signed proposal is where the marketing pays off. The Leads view counts every form and call, the ads view records what you spent, and the Jobs tab shows which projects turned into sold work and for how much. Read the three on one screen instead of matching a lead list against your proposals at the end of the month.

Ask TruLata and your morning briefing read the same projects, so a question like which open proposals are the biggest is answered from your own CompanyCam data. The Jobs view page covers the tab itself, and the roofers and remodeling contractors pages cover the rest of what TruLata does for a crew in the field.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does TruLata integrate with CompanyCam?

Yes. Paste a read only CompanyCam access token on the Integrations tab and your projects and proposals show on the Jobs tab: accepted is won, declined is lost, and the rest is open pipeline with its price.

Does TruLata read my job site photos?

No. It reads your company, your projects and your proposals. Photos, notes and checklists stay in CompanyCam.

How do I make the CompanyCam token?

In CompanyCam open Integrations, Access Tokens, New Personal Access Token and choose Read only. An Admin or a Manager can make one.

How is a project's value counted?

A won project is the total of its accepted proposals. An open one is its largest proposal still out, so two quotes for one job are not added together. A project with no proposal shows no value, never zero.

How do I disconnect CompanyCam?

Press Disconnect on the CompanyCam card on Integrations and TruLata deletes its copy of the token. Delete the token in CompanyCam under Integrations, Access Tokens to end it there too.

Which tier includes the CompanyCam connection?

Your dashboard carries the views its connected sources feed, and the Jobs tab appears with your job platform. The pricing page lists what each tier includes.
