You book estimates straight into your calendar. Count them beside the marketing that brought them in.

Connect your Outlook calendar and TruLata reads the customer appointments on it onto the Jobs tab: estimates, visits and installs, booked or canceled. Your own private and internal meetings are left out, and the connection only reads.

Which events count as jobs?

Only customer appointments. An event counts when it has someone invited from outside your own company, or a job word in its title, such as estimate, quote, inspection, install, repair, site visit or consultation. TruLata reads the last twelve months and the next 31 days on the calendar of the person who connects.

Everything else is left out: all-day events, events marked private, events shown as free or tentative, and meetings with only your own team. From each appointment it reads the title, the first outside guest's name and email, when it was booked and when it takes place.

Left out

  • All-day events
  • Private events
  • Free or tentative time
  • Meetings with only your team

Counted as a job

  • An event with an outside guest
  • A job word in the title: estimate, quote, inspection, install, repair

Only customer appointments count. Your private meetings never reach the Jobs tab.

How does an appointment count on the Jobs tab?

An appointment on the calendar is booked work, so it reads won, and a canceled one reads lost. A calendar prices nothing, so an appointment carries no dollar value; its value stays unknown, never a made-up figure and never zero.

The Jobs tab puts four tiles across the top: open jobs, booked value over the last 12 months, jobs won this month and your win rate over the last 12 months. With a calendar, the count of appointments booked and the share that held are the figures that move.

How do I connect my Outlook calendar?

Press Connect on the Outlook Calendar card on your Integrations tab. Microsoft opens, you sign in and approve read access to your calendar, and you land back on your dashboard with your appointments on the Jobs tab. There is nothing to copy and nothing to paste.

Microsoft 365 work accounts and personal Outlook.com accounts both work, and the calendar permission needs no admin consent in Microsoft. TruLata never sees your Microsoft password; the token Microsoft issues is stored encrypted on our side and never sent to a browser.

Can I connect Outlook Calendar today?

Microsoft connections are switched on one workspace at a time today. Ask for Outlook Calendar from the request card on your Integrations tab, or email support@trulata.com, and we switch it on for your account. On a work account your Microsoft 365 admin may need to approve TruLata once, and we do that with you.

How fresh is it, and can TruLata change my calendar?

Live. The Jobs tab reads your calendar when you open it, and a short cache of about 90 seconds only absorbs a double click. If Microsoft does not answer, the card says it could not read, and it is never counted as zero.

The connection is read only. Events, invitations, reschedules and cancellations are made in Outlook itself. Disconnect from the card on your Integrations tab whenever you choose, or remove TruLata from My Apps at myapplications.microsoft.com.

Does TruLata integrate with Outlook Calendar?

Yes. Connect your Outlook calendar and the customer appointments on it show on the Jobs tab, booked or canceled.

Will my personal meetings show up?

No. Only events with an outside guest or a job word in the title count. All-day, private, free, tentative and team-only events are left out.

Whose calendar does it read?

The calendar of the person who signs in to Microsoft when the connection is made.

Does it work with Outlook.com?
