#What it reads

On a self-serve account, the Who changed your account card sits on the Google Ads tab, marked Every morning, 7:05am ET. Each morning TruLata reads four things from your Google Ads account: the change history, who can use the account, how conversions are counted, and what Google applies by itself.

The first read appears the morning after you choose your Google Ads account.

#The changes table

New this morning lists anything new since yesterday. Under it, a table lists the changes from the last 14 days with When, What changed and By. Material changes are in bold.

Routine edits are counted rather than listed: keyword and negative keyword edits, and Google's own asset generator. If nothing else changed, the card says No changes in the last 14 days and gives that count.

#Who can use this account

Google's change history does not record who was given access, so TruLata reads the user list directly every morning. The card lists each person's email address and role. An address you do not recognise is worth checking in Google Ads.

#What Google applies by itself and conversions

What Google applies by itself lists the recommendations Google is set to apply automatically, or says none are switched on. Conversions says how many conversion actions are counted and how many are used for bidding.

#Who is told

Anything material is emailed to the account owner and reaches your TruLata team the same morning. The full record stays in your own Google Ads change history.

#Questions

Why does it say Could not read?

TruLata's access could not read that part of the account this morning. The card names what failed. Check that the access is still accepted under Admin, Access and security, Managers in Google Ads.

Does it show changes I made myself?

Yes. Every change in the window is listed with who made it, routine keyword edits aside.

Can I stop Google applying recommendations by itself?

That setting lives in your Google Ads account. The card shows what is switched on, so you can decide there.

Still stuck?

Ask on the Ask TruLata tab of your dashboard and it answers from your own numbers, or opens a ticket for a person. Or email support@trulata.com and a person on our team replies.
