Team roles: Owner, Admin and Member

What an Owner, an Admin and a Member can each do, and how to change someone's role.

#What each role can do

Owner: full access, billing and plan changes, and the team.

Admin: manages channels, integrations and the team, and can change Settings. No billing.

Member: views the dashboard, uses the assistant and runs approvals.

The same three lines are on the Roles card at the bottom of the Team tab.

#Who can do what

Only the owner or an admin can invite or remove people. An admin can give the Member or Admin role. A member sees the list of people without the invite box.

Only the account owner opens billing and changes the plan. The owner or an admin can save Settings and the rules in Let TruLata act for you.

On Ask TruLata, everyone can ask questions. Actions such as saving your business details or changing a Google Ads campaign are available to the owner and admins.

#Change someone's role

The role is set at the invite, so changing it means a new invite. The person signs in the same way afterwards.

  1. Open Team.
  2. Press Remove beside their name and confirm.
  3. Invite the same address again with the new role.

#The owner seat

The owner is set when the account is created. The owner's row has no Remove button, so an account always keeps an owner. To change the owner, send a request from the Support tab or email support@trulata.com.

#Questions

Can an admin see billing?

No. Only the account owner opens billing and changes the plan.

Can I have two owners?

The account has one owner seat. Make the other person an admin so they can run the team and Settings.

Does a member see fewer tabs?

No. Every role reads the same tabs and numbers. The role decides who can change the team, billing and settings.

Still stuck?

Ask on the Ask TruLata tab of your dashboard and it answers from your own numbers, or opens a ticket for a person. Or email support@trulata.com and a person on our team replies.
