Approve, dismiss or retry an article
Read a draft on the Content tab, then approve it to publish, dismiss it, or try a stopped piece again.
#Read the draft
Open Content under Search & AI. Drafts waiting for you carry the Draft badge, and the This month card counts them under Drafts to review.
Each card shows the title, the search it was written to win and how many people search for it, the photograph and a short excerpt. Open Read the article for the full text and the list of Sources the research read. The card also says how many sources are cited and whether every link opened; a link that did not open is unlinked before you see it.
#Approve it
- Press Approve on the draft's card.
- If your site is connected, the piece goes to your site and the message says Published on your website. Sometimes it says On your site; a reviewer checks one claim first.
- If your site is not connected yet, the message says Approved. The piece publishes itself once you connect your site, and you can copy it from the card or its Google Doc meanwhile.
#Dismiss it
Press Dismiss to drop a piece you do not want. It works on a queued piece, a draft, an approved piece or a stopped one. The message says Dismissed and the card leaves the list.
#Try again after a problem
A piece whose status is Stopped shows the reason in red and a Try again button. Press it and the message says Queued again.
An approved piece that could not reach your site shows the reason and a Try publishing again button. Fix what the reason names, for example reconnect your site on Integrations, then press it.
#Questions
Can I change an article before I approve it?
Yes. Press Edit on the card, change the title or the text, and press Save. See Edit or copy an article.
Can I stop approving each one?
Yes. Turn on auto-publish in Settings and pieces that pass their checks publish on their own. See Let articles publish without your approval.
Can I undo a published article?
The Content tab does not unpublish. Remove or edit the post in your website's own editor.
