What each article status means

Queued, Researching, Writing, Draft, Approved, In review, Published and Stopped: what is happening and what you can do at each one.

2 min read · Updated November 2, 2026

#While the article is being made

Queued: waiting its turn. The topic is checked against real search demand before a word is written. You can Dismiss it.

Researching: checking search demand and reading current sources.

Writing: writing, then opening every link and choosing a photograph.

While a piece is in any of these three, the Content tab checks again every minute on its own. There is nothing to press.

#When it is ready for you

Draft: written and waiting for you. Press Approve, Edit, Copy text or Dismiss.

Approved: you approved it. It publishes itself once your site is connected on Integrations (WordPress, Webflow or Shopify) or built with the TruLata website builder. Until then the card says so, and you can copy it from the card or its Google Doc. You can still Edit, Copy text or Dismiss it.

In review: on your site, with a reviewer checking one claim first. It counts as published in the This month card.

#When it is finished, or stopped

Published: live on your site. The card shows Live at with the address.

Stopped: a step failed. The card shows the reason in red. Press Try again to queue it again, or Dismiss to drop it.

An approved piece that could not reach your site shows the reason and a Try publishing again button. A dismissed piece disappears from the list.

#Questions

Why does my article say Held?

The card says Held when a piece waits for a person rather than publishing itself. Approve it when you are happy with it.

Why is my approved article not on my site?

Your site is not connected yet. Connect WordPress, Webflow or Shopify on Integrations, or build your site with the TruLata website builder, and approved pieces publish.

How long does Researching and Writing take?

About 15 minutes for a piece you ask for with Write one more now.
