#Connect your Stripe account

The key is checked before it is saved, and the tab starts reading your payments. You can also connect Stripe from Integrations.

  1. In Stripe, open Developers, API keys, and create a restricted key.
  2. Set Charges and Refunds, Subscriptions, Customers, Products, Prices, Invoices and Checkout Sessions to Read. The key starts with rk_live_.
  3. In TruLata, open Revenue, paste the key in Restricted key (read only) and press Connect Stripe.

#Connect QuickBooks Online

If you bill from QuickBooks, the Revenue tab shows a card titled Bill from QuickBooks?. Press its Connect to QuickBooks button and approve TruLata in QuickBooks. The connection is read only, and invoices and payments stay in QuickBooks.

#What you see with Stripe

The top row reads Collected, Payments, Active subscriptions, Recurring / mo and Refunded, followed by New customers, New subscriptions, Canceled subscriptions and Net collected.

Below them: Collected by month for the last 12 months, Subscription tiers, Recent payments with the date, amount, what it was for and who paid, Top customers and Refunds.

#What you see with QuickBooks

The tiles read Collected, Payments, Owed to you with the number of open invoices, and Overdue with how many are past their due date. If you connect both, the QuickBooks section comes first and Stripe follows.

#How fresh it is

The tab reads your account when you open it and is never more than 15 minutes old. Its own Refresh button reads it again. A figure the tab could not read says could not read; it is never shown as zero.

#Questions

Can TruLata charge or refund my customers?

No. The connection only reads. A charge, a refund or a subscription change is made in Stripe or QuickBooks itself, and card numbers stay there.

Is this where I pay my TruLata bill?

No. Your TruLata plan, card and invoices are on the Billing tab. See Your plan, card and invoices.

I do not see a Revenue tab.

Revenue appears where your account carries it. See Why a tab is missing.
