Forward old addresses to your new pages (redirects)
Send visitors who follow an old link or an old Google result to the right page of your site.
#Add a forwarded address
- Open Settings and find Forwarded addresses.
- Press Change forwarded addresses, then Add an address.
- On the left, type the part after your domain, for example /old-page/.
- On the right, pick the page its visitors should land on, or Another website and its address.
- Press Save.
#Rules the builder checks
Each old address can be listed once and cannot forward to itself. An address that is a page on your site now cannot forward; remove that line or rename the page first. To stop forwarding an address, press the bin beside it and save.
#Forwards made for you
You do not need to add these yourself: when you change a page's or a post's web address, the old one forwards to the new one. A deleted page's address sends visitors to your home page, and a deleted service's address to your services. A site built from your old one gets forwards so your old links keep working.
#Questions
When do forwards start working?
On your site after you publish.
Can I forward to another website?
Yes. Pick Another website and type its address, starting https://.
