Why a tab is missing, dimmed or empty
A tab waits for its source, comes with a higher plan, or sits in a closed menu group. Here is how to tell which, and what to do.
#The group is closed
Check the menu first. A closed group hides its tabs; click the group's heading to open it. The Account group, with Team and Billing, starts closed.
#A plan name beside the tab
The tab comes with a higher plan. It stays in the menu, dimmed, with the plan name beside it, so nothing is hidden from you. Click it and a panel says what it adds. If you bought your plan online, press Upgrade to followed by the plan name, or Compare plans. Otherwise press Talk to us. See Upgrade or change your plan.
#A dimmed Google tab
Analytics, SEO and Google Ads are dimmed until Google is connected and an account is chosen. Click one and it says Connect Google to see that tab, with Open Integrations. See Connect Google.
#No tab at all
Some tabs arrive with their source. Leads appears with your website form or a lead source, Jobs with your CRM or booking platform, and Revenue and Website where your account carries them. Connect the source on Integrations or the Website tab and the tab arrives filled. On accounts you bought online, Branding is not in the menu.
#The tab is there but empty
If it says We could not load your numbers, the account is connected but the last read failed. It retries on its own. See What the messages on your dashboard mean.
#Questions
Is a dimmed tab broken?
No. It is waiting for Google, or it comes with a higher plan. Click it and it says which.
I upgraded but the tab is still locked.
A plan change can take a few minutes to reach the dashboard. Reload the page after a few minutes, and if it is still locked, send a request from the Support tab.
A colleague sees a tab I do not.
Everyone on one account sees the same tabs. Check you are signed in to the same dashboard.
