Ask for changes in plain words
Type what you want changed and the builder's assistant makes the change on your page. One Undo takes the whole request back.
#Ask for a change
One press of Undo takes the whole request back. If one part of a request cannot be done, none of it is kept, and the assistant tells you plainly what it needs.
- Press Assistant in the top bar.
- Type what you want, for example "change our Saturday hours to 9 to 1", "add a page for a new service", "make the menu dark" or "add a section saying how it works".
- Send it. The assistant shows what it is doing, makes the change on your page and tells you in a sentence or two what changed.
#Point at a block
Select a block on the page first and "this" means that block, for example "make this shorter".
Press Improve on a block's toolbar when you are not sure what you want. The assistant suggests two or three ideas for that block, makes the best one, and tells you what else you could try.
#Give it photos or PDFs
Press the clip beside the message box to add photos or PDFs. They go to your library, and you can ask the assistant to use them.
#What it will and will not write
The assistant can look things up on the web, for example the towns near you or what people usually ask about a service, and writes what it finds in its own words. Facts about your business, such as prices, ratings, reviews, awards, licenses and years in business, come only from you or your own site. Ask for a rating you have not shown us and it asks where the rating comes from instead of adding it.
It can change almost every setting, including the words on the page a broken or mistyped link opens. Your site password, tracking codes and verification tags stay yours to set in Settings.
#When it cannot do something
If the builder cannot do what you ask yet, the assistant notes it and offers Ask for a feature. A person reads every request and writes back.
#Questions
Will the assistant make things up?
No. It writes only facts you gave it or your own site holds, and claims about results, guarantees and awards still wait for a TruLata reviewer before they publish.
Does the assistant publish my changes?
No. Its changes go into the builder like your own. Press Publish when you are ready.
Can it bring in my Google listing?
No. Use Bring in my Google listing in Settings, which needs your own Google sign-in.
