When AI visibility and search numbers update
How often the AI visibility score, AI Overviews, Search Console and Business Profile numbers are measured, and why each lags as it does.
#AI visibility score
On a self-serve account, the first measurement lands within the hour after TruLata knows your website, from Your website in Settings or the Search Console site you chose. After that it is measured again every week. Accounts our team runs are measured monthly.
While the first run is going, the tab says Your first AI visibility measurement is running. If your website cannot be read after several tries, the tab says so instead of waiting.
#Google AI Overviews
Checked every week, and again within the hour whenever you change Searches you want to win in Settings.
#Search Console keywords
Google releases Search Console data two to three days after the searches happen, so the SEO tab's newest day is a few days back.
#Business Profile and reviews
The Business Profile card covers the last 28 days through the last day Google has reported. Your review rating and count refresh on their own.
#Checking how old a number is
Each card names when it was measured. The stamp in the dashboard header says when the page's data was pulled, and the Refresh button pulls again.
#Questions
Can I start a new AI visibility measurement now?
It runs on its weekly schedule. The card shows the date of the run it is showing.
Why did my score not change this week?
If nothing moved, the card shows no change rather than inventing one. Read the trend over several weeks.
Is Refresh the same as a new measurement?
No. Refresh re-reads the latest results. A new AI visibility measurement runs on its schedule.
