Read the Google Ads tab

What the cards and campaign table on the Google Ads tab show, how to open a campaign's detail and how fresh the numbers are.

#Where it is

Open Google Ads under Ads in the sidebar. If Google Ads is not connected yet, the tab says so and offers Open Integrations. See Connect your Google Ads account.

#The cards at the top

On a self-serve account, two cards come first. Watching your ads lists anything in your campaigns that needs attention, checked daily. Who changed your account shows the changes TruLata read from your account that morning. Each has its own article: Watching your ads and Who changed your account.

Under them sits a row of stat cards with your account totals. Click a stat card to see what it covers.

#The Active campaigns table

One row per campaign: Campaign, Spend, Conv (conversions), Cost/conv and Status.

Click a row to open the campaign. It shows Spend / mo, Conversions, Cost / conversion, Bid strategy, Negatives added (30d) and Status.

#How fresh the numbers are

Google publishes Ads numbers a few hours after the fact. The tab shows the newest point Google has released, and the stamp in the header says how old it is. Your leads on the Leads tab are live, so a lead can show there before Google counts its conversion.

#Export the campaigns

Press Export in the top bar. The campaign table downloads as a CSV with Campaign, Spend, Conversions, Cost/conv and Status.

#Questions

Why do conversions here differ from my leads?

Conversions are what Google counted. The Leads tab is what your forms and calls actually sent. A broken tag makes the two drift, and the morning lead check flags it.

I do not see the Google Ads tab.

A tab your plan does not include says which plan carries it, with an Upgrade or Talk to us button. If it is missing from the sidebar, write to support@trulata.com.

Can I change a campaign from this tab?

On a self-serve account, ask on the Ask TruLata tab to pause a campaign, turn one on or change a budget. It confirms with you first. Where our team runs your Google Ads, ask your team.

Still stuck?

Ask on the Ask TruLata tab of your dashboard and it answers from your own numbers, or opens a ticket for a person. Or email support@trulata.com and a person on our team replies.
