Read the SEO tab: keywords, positions and volume
What the SEO tab shows: the searches Google shows your site for, your average position, and the cards for reviews, your listing and AI Overviews.
#Where it is
Open SEO under Search & AI in the sidebar. It needs Search Console connected; until then it says Connect Google to see SEO.
#The Top keywords table
A row of stat cards sits at the top. Under it, Top keywords lists the searches Google showed your site for, with Keyword, Position, Change and Volume. Click a row for its detail, including the page that ranks where it is known.
#What the numbers mean
Position is Search Console's average position for that phrase: where your site appeared, averaged across every time it was shown. It is Google's own count, not a rank tracker's single check, so it can differ from what you see when you search yourself.
Volume is how many times Google showed your site for that phrase in the window. A phrase can rank and earn no clicks, and it shows up as exactly that.
#The cards below
Further down the tab: Google AI Overviews, Google Business Profile and Google reviews. Where keyword market data is switched on for your account, a Keyword market (SpyFu) table adds your rank, volume and difficulty across the wider market.
#Export
Press Export in the top bar for a CSV of the keyword table with Keyword, Position, Change and Volume.
#Questions
Why is the newest data a few days old?
Google releases Search Console data two to three days after the searches happen. The tab shows the newest day Google has released.
Why does my position look worse than when I search myself?
Your own searches are shaped by where you are and what you have searched before. Position here is Google's average across every searcher who saw your site.
How do I tell TruLata which searches matter to me?
Fill in Searches you want to win in Settings. See Tell TruLata which searches you want to win.
Ranking is good but leads are low. Why?
A position says where you appeared; a click says someone chose you; a lead says what your site sent you. Read the SEO tab beside your Leads tab.
