#Add a block

A new block starts from facts your site already holds, or empty. An empty block shows prompts in the builder and nothing on your published site until you fill it in.

  1. Open Add. Type in Search blocks if you know what you want.
  2. Click a block to add it to the end of the page, or drag it onto the page where you want it.
  3. Or press Add block on the bottom edge of any block on the page, then pick a block for that spot.

#What is in the library

Blocks are grouped so you can find them:

  1. Basics: Text, Buttons, Checklist, Callout, Divider, Space and Moving line.
  2. Layout: Top of the page and Columns.
  3. Media: Photo, Photo gallery, Video, Map and Instagram.
  4. Business: Your services, About you, Events, Team, Packages, How it works, Price list, Opening hours, Where you work, Locations and hours, Rooms and rates, and Online store.
  5. Proof: Reviews, word for word from real customers.
  6. Conversion: Call to action, Contact details and form, Form, Offer or coupon, Financing, Announcement bar, Online booking, Booking requests, Table reservations, Stay requests and Email sign-up.
  7. Content: Embed code, Latest news, Downloads, and Questions and answers.
  8. Social: Social links. Site: Header and Footer, which open their settings.

#Move, copy, hide or remove a block

Click a block on the page and a toolbar appears on it: Improve, Move up, Move down, Copy, Hide, the gear for Block settings and Remove. Grab the handle at its left to drag it.

A hidden block stays in the builder, marked Hidden from your site, and does not show on your published site. Removing a block shows Undo in the message at the bottom of the screen.

To put the same block on another page, open Block settings and use Copy to another page. The copy goes at the end of that page, above its contact band, and each one can be changed on its own.

#Cards, questions and other items

Inside a list block, such as service cards, questions or team members, click one item for its own toolbar: Move earlier, Move later, Replace its photo, Button, Add one after it, or Remove. A new question, review or team member asks for its words first in a small form.

#Questions

Why can I not add blocks to a news post?

A post is written in one column, so it takes no blocks. Open a page or a service page to add blocks.

How many forms can a site have?

A site can have ten forms of its own, made with the Form block and the booking blocks.

What does Improve do?

It asks the assistant for a few ideas to make that block better and makes the best one. See Ask for changes in plain words.

Still stuck?
