What happens when a prospect replies

How replies are matched, classified and shown, what each class does to the sequence, and how follow-ups work.

#See replies

Replies land in the Recent replies, classified card on the Outbound tab. Each carries its class and a suggested next step. Press one to read it.

A reply is matched to the send it answers, even when the email thread is broken. A sweep every ten minutes rereads recent mail on the sending mailboxes, so a reply someone already opened on a phone is still caught. Each morning at 8:05 Eastern a digest lists every positive reply from the last 24 hours.

#What each kind of reply does

Positive: shown to your team the same day.

No, not interested, unsubscribe or stop: ends the sequence, suppresses the address for good and adds it to the do-not-contact list.

Bounce, or a note that the person has left: retires the address. A person decides whether to find a replacement at the same company, and a replacement is queued as a fresh draft for review.

Out of office: leaves the sequence alone, because the person is away, not gone.

When a message is unclear, it is treated as a real person, so a real reply always reaches your team.

#Follow-ups

A prospect who stays silent gets up to two follow-ups in the same thread, three days apart, each from a different angle. Any reply stops them. A thread older than 30 days is left alone.
