Add, swap and edit photos

#Upload photos and files

Also add new photos to the gallery is on by default, so new photos also show in your photo gallery. Switch it off first if you do not want that.

Each photo is resized for the web into two sizes and never enlarged. PDFs are listed under Files and can be offered in a Downloads block.

1. Open Photos.
2. Drop photos, PDFs or videos on the box, or click it to choose them. Add as many as you like, straight from your phone or computer. Phone photos in HEIC work too.

#Swap a photo on the page

1. Click the photo on your page. On a card in a list, such as a service card, press Replace on its small toolbar.
2. Pick the photo to put in its place from your library, or drop a new one in.

#Crop, turn or brighten a photo

Click a photo in your library to open This photo:

1. Click the part of the photo that should stay in view when a card or the top of a page crops it.
2. Pick a shape (Original, Wide, Landscape, Square or Tall) and use Zoom to crop it.
3. Use Turn left, Turn right, Mirror, Brightness and Contrast to fix a phone photo.
4. Under What the photo shows, describe it in a few words. Blind visitors hear it read aloud, and search engines read it.
5. Press Save.

#Find a stock photo

At the bottom of Photos, open Need a photo you don't have? Find a stock photo, type what you need, for example lawn mowing, and press Search. Pick one to add it to your library.

Stock photos are licensed and for gaps only. They are never shown as your own work, team or place.

#Remove a photo

A photo your site does not use has a cross on it in the library: press it to remove the photo. A photo in use has to be swapped on the page first.
