#Write a post

A post is written in one column, so it takes no blocks.

  1. Open Pages and find News and posts.
  2. Press Write a post.
  3. Type a title, a date and, if you like, one line for the list. Press Start writing.
  4. The post opens. Click where it says Write your post here and type it.

#Publish or schedule it

A post stays a Draft until you press Publish on its row. It then shows as Published and goes on your site the next time you publish your site.

Give a post a date ahead and it shows as Scheduled. Publish your site and the post goes live on its own on that date, at midnight in your time zone (set in Settings, under Language and time zone). Make draft takes a post off your site again.

#Post settings

Press the gear on a post's row to change its title, date, who wrote it, its line for the list, a topic such as Tips, its web address, its title and description in Google results, and its photo. If you change a published post's address, the old one forwards to the new one.

#Show your posts

Add the Latest news block from Add, under Content, to show your newest posts with a link to all of them. Share buttons under each post adds Facebook, X, LinkedIn, email and copy-the-link buttons; switch it off if you do not want them.

#Delete a post

Press the bin on its row and confirm. Undo brings it back.

#Questions

Can the assistant write a post?

Yes. Ask it, for example "write a post about getting your furnace ready for winter". The post starts as a draft for you to read.

Why does my post not show on my site?

Check it says Published or Scheduled, not Draft, and then press Publish for the site.
