Set your site's language and time zone
Tell browsers and search engines what language your site is in, and set the time zone your scheduled posts follow.
#Change them
Each saves as soon as you pick it. Publish to put the change on your site.
- Open Settings and find Language and time zone.
- Pick Your site's language.
- Pick Your time zone.
#What the language does
The language tells browsers, screen readers and search engines how to read your site. Words the builder puts on your site itself, such as the menu button and the cookie banner, follow it too. Your own words are not translated. See Build your site in another language.
#What the time zone does
Posts dated ahead go live at midnight in your time zone. The list holds the US time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Arizona, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii, Atlantic) and Toronto, London, Lisbon, Central Europe and Sydney. Until you pick one, Pacific is used.
