Publish is free and puts your changes on your site. Every publish is kept, and any earlier version comes back in one click.

#Publish

Your edits save as you go, but visitors see them only after you publish. The label at the top says Unpublished changes when you have some.

  1. Press Publish at the top right. Before your site is live it reads Publish preview.
  2. The builder checks every page, then puts your changes on your site.
  3. A card confirms it and gives you a link to see it.

#Your free preview address

Until you go live, Publish puts your site on its free preview address. Only people you send the link to see it, and Google does not list it. Publishing is free.

Once you go live on your own web address, Publish puts your changes there, and the message offers View live site.

#Check before you publish

Press Phone, Tablet or Computer at the top to see the page at each size. Press Preview to see it as a visitor does, then Back to editing.

#Bring back an earlier version

  1. Press the arrow beside Publish to open Version history. Every publish is listed with when it happened and who published it.
  2. Press Restore beside the version you want.
  3. Press Bring it back. Your site shows it within seconds, and the builder switches to it. You can undo this.

#If publishing stops for a check

If a sentence claims results, a guarantee or an award, a quick check appears first and those sentences wait for a TruLata reviewer. See Why publishing asks for a quick check.

#Questions

Does publishing cost anything?

No. Publishing to your preview address is free. You pay only to go live on your own web address.

Someone else edited the site while I was working.

The builder shows the site as it is now and tells you. Make your change again on the latest version.

Why can I not see Publish?

If you were invited with Can edit, not publish, ask the site's owner to publish or to change what you may do.

Still stuck?

Ask on the Ask TruLata tab of your dashboard and it answers from your own numbers, or opens a ticket for a person. Or email support@trulata.com and a person on our team replies.
