Connect your social accounts

Connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, TikTok or YouTube so their numbers and posts show on the Social tab.

#Connect from Integrations

Where your social connection is switched on for your account, open Integrations and press the Social accounts card. You sign in on each platform itself and pick your business pages; TruLata never sees your password.

  1. Press the button for the platform, for example Connect LinkedIn or Connect TikTok.
  2. A window opens with that platform's sign-in. Sign in, then come back to the dashboard. If no window opened, press Open the platform sign-in.
  3. The card asks which of that platform's accounts TruLata should read. Tick the ones that are your business.
  4. Press Add the ticked accounts. The card says Added with their names, and the numbers appear on the Social tab within a couple of minutes.
TipIf your browser blocks the window, allow pop-ups for the dashboard, then press Open again.

#More than one page or profile

Run more than one page or profile on a platform? Tick them all when you sign in. For pages under a different login, press Add another and the platform name.

#Reconnect an account

An account whose access ran out shows Needs reconnecting on the Social tab. On the Social accounts card in Integrations, press Reconnect beside it and sign in again.

If a connection fails, the card says the platform did not connect and why. Press Try again, or Dismiss.

#Connect a Facebook Page with its id

Where the Social tab shows Connect your Facebook Page, you connect with your Page id. TruLata reads your Page's insights and the Instagram business account linked to it. It never publishes a post on your Page.

  1. On your Facebook Page, open About, then Page transparency, and copy the Page id (a long number).
  2. Type it in the Facebook Page id box on the Social tab and press Connect.
  3. TruLata asks Meta for access, within 15 minutes. Then in Meta, open Business Settings, Requests, and approve TruLata. Only an admin of your Page can approve it.
  4. Your numbers appear within 15 minutes of approving.

#Questions

Do I give TruLata my social passwords?

No. You sign in on the platform itself, or approve TruLata in Meta, and you can withdraw the access there.

My Instagram does not show. Why?

Instagram is read through the business account linked to your Facebook Page. Link one in Meta (Instagram settings, Linked accounts) and it is read on the next pull.

How do I switch to a different Facebook Page?

Press Use a different Page at the bottom of the Social tab, then connect the other Page.

How do I connect Meta ads?

Enter your ad account id on the Meta Ads tab, then approve TruLata once in Meta.
