Get an email for every new lead
Who gets the new-lead email, what it contains, which leads send one and why you might not see it.
#Who gets it
Each new website lead is emailed the moment it arrives, so you hear about it on a day nobody opens the dashboard. On a self-serve account it goes to the account owner. If your account has more than one active owner, each of them gets it, up to three.
On accounts our team runs, each lead is emailed to your team as set up for your account.
#What it says
The subject reads New lead from your website: followed by the person's name, email or phone. A lead from Angi or Thumbtack names the platform instead.
The email lists the name, phone, email, what they asked about, their message and the page they were on, then a link that opens your Leads tab directly.
#Which leads send one
- A message from your website's form connected on the Website tab.
- A lead from Angi or Thumbtack, where they are connected.
- Not a test from Send a test.
- Not a lead forwarded from Gmail. The original form email is already in your inbox, and a copy sent back would match your forwarding filter and loop.
#Not getting the email?
- Check that your sign-in email is set as an owner on the account. Lead emails go to owners.
- Look in your spam or promotions folder, and mark the email as not spam.
- Open the Leads tab. If the lead is there, delivery to the Leads tab is working and only the email is affected.
- Still missing? Write to support@trulata.com.
#Questions
Can my office manager get the lead emails too?
Lead emails go to the account's owners. Forward them with a rule in your own inbox, or invite your office manager to your team so they can open the Leads tab.
Are phone calls emailed too?
Calls to TruLata tracking numbers arrive on the Leads tab with the campaign's name. The per-lead email covers website form, Angi and Thumbtack leads.
Is the lead check email the same thing?
No. The lead check emails the account owner only when one of its morning checks needs a look. See the morning lead check.
