Tell TruLata which searches you want to win
List the searches that matter to your business in Settings. They drive your AI Overviews check and the topics your content is written around.
#Add your searches
- Open Settings and find About your business.
- In Searches you want to win, type the searches a customer would use, separated by commas. For example: roof repair tulsa, storm damage roofer.
- Press Save.
TipWrite them the way a customer types them, with your town where it matters.
#What they are used for
- Google AI Overviews: every week TruLata runs your searches on Google, along with your top Search Console searches, up to ten in all, and records whether Google answered with an AI Overview and whether it cites your website. Change the list and it is checked again within the hour.
- Your content: where the content engine writes for you, your searches are among the topics it starts from.
- Ask TruLata: what you enter in Settings is what Ask TruLata knows about your business.
#And the SEO tab?
The Top keywords table on the SEO tab comes from Search Console: the searches Google actually showed your site for. Your list says what you want to win; that table shows where you stand.
#Questions
How many searches should I add?
A handful of the ones that bring paying work. The AI Overviews check runs up to ten searches, yours first.
Can I change them later?
Yes, any time. Edit the field and press Save.
Does this change my Google Ads keywords?
No. It tells TruLata what matters to you. Ad keywords are set in Google Ads.
