How fresh your numbers are, and what Refresh does

The stamp beside the title says when your data was pulled. Opening the page refreshes it, and Refresh pulls every source now.

#Read the stamp

Beside the page title, the stamp reads data followed by the time your data was pulled. Hover it and it says one of two things: pulled live when you opened this page, or live refresh unreachable, showing the last saved snapshot. The age of what you are reading is always on the screen.

#Opening the page refreshes it

Last night's snapshot shows first, so there is something to read straight away. If it is older than five minutes, a pull starts behind the page and the new numbers swap in when it lands, on the same tab and at the same scroll position.

That swap waits while you have a panel open or are typing, so it never throws away what you were doing.

#Press Refresh

Every path through Refresh ends in a reloaded page, never an error. If a source is slow, the page reloads after five minutes anyway and the stamp says how old the data is.

  1. Press Refresh in the top bar.
  2. The button reads Refreshing while every connected source is pulled. That takes from 2 seconds to a little over 3 minutes, depending on what you connect.
  3. The page reloads to the tab you were on, with the new stamp.

#How fresh each source can be

Leads, your CRM, payments and email statistics are live. Google Ads and Google Analytics run a few hours behind during the day. Search Console runs 2 to 3 days behind. Refresh moves what can move; it cannot make Google release data sooner.

#Questions

I pressed Refresh and a number did not change.

That source may not have new data yet. Google Analytics and Ads run hours behind, and Search Console 2 to 3 days.

Can Ask TruLata refresh for me?

Yes. Tell it the numbers look old and it queues a new pull; the numbers land within a few minutes.

Still stuck?

Ask on the Ask TruLata tab of your dashboard and it answers from your own numbers, or opens a ticket for a person. Or email support@trulata.com and a person on our team replies.
