Pause a Google Ads campaign that spends with no conversions
Set a rule in Settings so TruLata pauses a Google Ads campaign that spends past your limit in 30 days without a single conversion.
#What the rule does
Once a day, TruLata pauses a running Google Ads campaign that has spent more than your limit in the last 30 days with no conversions.
It acts only when your other campaigns show conversions. That way a tracking problem, which would make every campaign read zero, never switches off all your ads. The rule is off until you turn it on.
#Turn it on
- Open Settings and find Let TruLata act for you.
- Tick Pause a Google Ads campaign that spends more than.
- Enter a dollar amount. It must be at least 50.
- Press Save. The card says Saved.
#When it pauses a campaign
The Watching your ads card on the Google Ads tab says so, for example: Paused 'Spring promo' automatically, with what it spent in 30 days and your limit. The pause is recorded in your Google Ads change history like any other change.
If Google Ads refuses the pause, the card says so and nothing changes.
#Turn a paused campaign back on
Ask on the Ask TruLata tab to turn the campaign back on. It confirms with you first. To stop the rule, untick it in Settings and press Save.
#Questions
Why did it not pause a campaign that spent with no conversions?
Either the campaign spent less than your limit, or none of your campaigns had a conversion in 30 days. In that case the rule holds off, because zero everywhere usually means tracking is broken.
Does it work on Meta or ChatGPT ads?
This rule covers Google Ads campaigns on a self-serve account.
What is the other box on the same card?
It lets your weekly article publish without asking you first. See Let TruLata act for you.
