Why a number differs from Google

Google Analytics and Ads run hours behind and Search Console 2 to 3 days behind. Date ranges and what is counted can differ too.

#Google releases data late

Leads, email and billing figures are live. Google Analytics and Google Ads can run a few hours behind, and Search Console runs two to three days behind. That delay is Google's, and the dashboard shows the newest data Google has released. Press Refresh at the top to load the newest numbers.

#Check the date range

Compare the same dates. On Analytics every preset ends yesterday, because today is still partial in Google. If Google's own screen includes today, its totals will differ. The stamp beside the page title says when your data was pulled.

#Check what is counted

The Leads tab counts each form and call that actually arrived. A key event in Google Analytics is what a tag counted. The two can differ, for example when a tag is broken or a form is sent twice.

Positions on the SEO tab are Search Console's average position for each search, not a single spot check, so a search you run yourself can show a different place.

#Check the account

Make sure the dashboard reads the same property, site or Ads account you are comparing with. Open Integrations and check the choices under Choose your accounts. See Choose which accounts your dashboard reads.
