#What arrives

If you already run CallRail, connect it and every tracked call arrives on the Leads tab with its source, whether it was answered or missed, and whether it was a first-time caller. Your CallRail numbers keep working exactly as they do now.

#Create a CallRail API key

  1. Sign in to CallRail.
  2. Press your name at the top right and open API Keys.
  3. Create a key and copy it.

#Connect it in TruLata

  1. Open Integrations and find CallRail under Calls and revenue, or search for it.
  2. Paste the key into API key and press Connect.
  3. The button reads Checking... while TruLata tries the key. When it works you see Connected. Your calls start arriving on the Leads tab.
TipThe key is stored encrypted and never shown again. Press Disconnect on the card to remove it, or delete the key in CallRail.

#Questions

Can I listen to call recordings in TruLata?

Recordings stay in CallRail. The Leads tab shows each call with its source and whether it was answered.

Do I need CallRail to track calls?

No. TruLata call tracking numbers give each campaign its own number without another account. See Add a call tracking number.

The key was refused.

Check you copied the whole key and that it has not been deleted in CallRail, then paste it again. The message under the card says why it failed.

Still stuck?

Ask on the Ask TruLata tab of your dashboard and it answers from your own numbers, or opens a ticket for a person. Or email support@trulata.com and a person on our team replies.
